Is this my period or should i go to the doctor????????

i have never gotten my period yet. or at leas i dont think. yesterday i went to the bathroom and there was a lot of discharge. here's the twist, it was brownish red. i am positive it was not poo.i checked like an hour later with different panties and there was none. it was kinda wierd, so i went to walgreens to buy pads just in case. today there was only a little drop of reddish brown. was this my period or should i go to the doctor????????
