Are there any good desktop webmail clients?

I am looking for a email client that works with web mail. I have been using digsby, which only asks for one's credentials to login and display one's messages. I have tried Thunderbird with the web mail extension and similar programs such as freepops and ypops. Are there any good alternatives out there?
