I need help with Sims 2 Castaway DS....i'm stuck with the flagpole part?

i would really appreciate it if someone could help me get unstuck by telling me how to make the flagpole....the person who gave me that task (i cant remember who it was) wont tell me how to make it.....i want to get on with the game but bcuz of this i cant....hahahah so HELP!! :]
