Do you think muslims have misinterpreted the Koran?

Yes. The Quran is a peaceful book, like the Bible. And like the Bible, it contains violent pages. The violent pages in the Quran only deal with times when your religion is under attack, which Islam is not, therefore, any Muslims who commits violence is doing so in contradiction of the Quran.
