Is there great honor in loving those who love us; what does the Sermon on the Mount, Beatitudes say about love?

Yes there is great honor in loving those who love you not or use you or even make fun of you. Remember, Jesus also said, that if one learns to forgive, then when they face the Father on judgment day, the Father will forgive you as you had forgiven others. So you see, their is no honor in loving only those who love you. How can you learn to forgive if you've never accepted those who've tresped against you? You can't.
