Hey, we aren't perfect. No matter how hard we try, we won't be perfect Christians. But we try our best to abstain from sin because we love the LORD and He loves us. And about your question about Godliness, even if we never committed a sin we would still not be Godly. Only God is because he is holy holy holy.
